Sunday School
Our Sunday School exists to raise children in the Orthodox faith, teaching them Scripture, prayer, Church tradition, and holy living in the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo way.
Our Mission
The purpose of Sunday School is not entertainment, but spiritual formation. We teach children to know God, love the Church, respect holy tradition, and grow in obedience, humility, and prayer.
Ages 4–6
Introduction to prayer, Bible stories, saints, and basic Christian behavior.

Ages 7–12
Learning Scripture, the life of Christ, the saints, and Orthodox practices.
- Old & New Testament
- Saints & feast days
- Church discipline
Youth (13–18)
Deepening faith, moral teaching, identity, and responsibility in the Church.

- Life challenges & faith
- Service & leadership
What We Teach
Class Schedule
Sunday School classes are held every Sunday following Holy Liturgy.
- Children are dismissed respectfully from the sanctuary.
- Parents may accompany younger children.
- Special classes before major feasts as announced.
Teachers
Teachers are trained, faithful members of the Church, serving with blessing from the priest.
Message to Parents
Parents are the first teachers of faith. Please encourage prayer at home, respect for the Church, and consistent attendance. Sunday School works best when the family lives the faith together.
